If you only read the structure top down, then so long as there are no cycles in the digraph all the content appears to be where it should be but the overall space taken is drastically reduced.
The Directory i Means bit or x86 it does nothing to the System it only appears on bit system on XP it also appears if you have installed another version of Windows without removing the Previous version ive tried this several times on test systems also called test computers. Won't my I be old an unuseable?? Uhmmm nope, look in the same place you found that reg key, see the ServicePackSourcePath? Yep you got it that's the location where service packs get stored, and windows will check there for new file versions and any services packs not included in the I folder. Unless you actually streamline new service packs into that folder Windows won't update it anymore than it'll try and update the installation CD.
